Đại sứ Mỹ tại Việt Nam Ted Osius nhận xét: “Việc Việt Nam tham gia TPP sẽ giúp nước này đạt được mục tiêu hội nhập quốc tế toàn diện. Trong tất cả các nước thành viên, Việt Nam ở vị thế được hưởng lợi nhiều nhất”.

Nhận xét của ông Osius được củng cố bởi kết luận của Viện Kinh tế Quốc tế Peterson (Mỹ) rằng, việc Việt Nam tham gia TPP sẽ thúc đẩy GDP tăng trưởng đáng kể.
